The bank was the first in the country to launch MPGS, an ecommerce platform developed in partnership with Mastercard, providing a payment gateway to merchants.
Furthermore, by leveraging the concept of co-opetition, Zemen Bank has made multiple integrations with Fintechs and Payment Instrument issuers. This strategic approach has enabled the bank to reach markets that may not have been accessible independently.
Notably, Zemen Bank is known for its exceptional customer service and provides digital banking services free of charge, enhancing the client experience. The bank’s dedication to making banking accessible and convenient is further demonstrated by being the only bank in Ethiopia to offer digital channel services free of charge.
Finally, Zemen Bank has achieved significant growth in digital transactions. From the total transactions that hits our core banking system, 66.5% of the transactions were processed through digital channels, highlighting the bank’s success in promoting digital banking services.
